Development Tibet Ranks High on Global Tourism Destinations [WTN-L World Tibet Network News. Published by The Canada Tibet Committee. Tibet ranks fifth on the top 13 global tourism destinations, thanks to the location of the world's highest mountain peak - Mount Qomolangma. The World Tourism Organisation has ranked tourism destinations in the world in accordance with their last year's acceptance of tourists in 2001. The stone city in Jordan ranks first, followed by China's Great Wall, Egypt's pyramids, Tanzania's national park, Tibet's Mount Qomolangma, United States' Grand Canyon, Argentina and Brazil's waterfall, Peru's national park, India's Taj Mahal, United States and Canada's Niagara Waterfall, Africa's Sahara Desert, Russia's Red Square and Kremlin and China's terra cotta figurines.
